We established Natural Path Entreprise in 2009 after one year of research about the health benefits behind coconut and coconut based products. Profile of Supplier : Mr. Lim built his organic coconut farm in the pristine and fertile countryside in General Santos, Philippines and established his business in 2008. Mr. Lim employs local farmers and workers who work closely with the land and have a natural instinct to care for the crops, thereby producing the highest quality of coconut products. One of the major reasons why we decided to establish business relations with Mr. Lim and his corporation was his active work within the farming community which produces the organic coconut sugar, coconut syrup and various organic products from coconut. Not only does he provide employment for these communities, but he uses part of the profits to help the farming communities in development for education, medical support, and helps these farmers and their families improve their quality of life. The following is a quote from Mr. Lim who talks about his experience. “When I first went to Barangay Sinawal [which is a farming village] they were just cooking the coconut sugar on top of the soil. They would dig a hole under the soil where they would put the firewood and then cook it. There were even chickens running around and the ashes from the burnt firewood were flying everywhere. Seeing that coconut sugar is a very good product and will benefit the health of people all over the world, I invested in a hygienic processing plant and hired an engineer. Together, we standardized the entire production process and implemented quality controls so that consumers worldwide are assured of the quality every time they buy our products. We also provided the farmers the proper training, tools and working environment. Not only that, a major part of the proceeds goes directly to the farmers. By providing a stable market for their produce, we are able to uplift the lives of the local communities. We have expanded our operations and currently help 2 barangays (villages) -- Barangay Sinawal and Barangay Paopao ...
